Leona M. Rensing, 87

Leona M. Rensing, 87, of Trenton, died Friday, April 7th, 2006, at Country Side Manor in Aviston.

Born Aug. 12th, 1918, in Breese, she was the daughter of Theodore and Josephine Hellmann Kruep and they preceded her in death. She married Joseph W. Rensing on Oct. 15th, 1940, in St. George Church in New Baden and he preceded her in death Nov. 24th, 1960/

Surviving are her 10 children, Joseph T. Rensing of Breese, Maurice Rensing of Columbus, Ohio, Patricia Higgins of Carlyle, Theodore Rensing of Carlyle, Mary Lou Dust of Breese, Diane Becker of Bartelso, Tony Rensing of St. Rose, Larry Rensing of Highland, Irene Hegger of Aviston and Annette Wolske of Benton; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a brother, Francis Kruep of Carlyle; and a sister, Joetta Korte of Pierron.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Stanley and Dennis Rensing; a daughter Anita Rensing; five brothers, Theodore, Alfred, Vincent, Leonard and John Kruep; and two sisters Josephine Kohlbrecher and Anna Henrichs.

She was a retired cook from the Trenton House Restaurant and 'a member of St. Mary Church and Altar Sodality in Trenton.

A Funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 10th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton with Fr. James Dougherty officiating.

Burial followed in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton.

Moss Funeral Home in Trenton handled the arrangements.
