Polly Ann Weathers

Polly Ann Weathers, 80, of Benton died at her home on Tuesday, October 14.

Born in Hanaford, Illinois, on September 3, 1928, she was the daughter of Roland and Lillie (Ing) Harris.

She married James Jack Weathers on August 15, 1948 at the First Christian Church in Benton, and he preceded her in death on September 9, 1996.

Mrs. Weathers was a 1946 graduate of Benton High School, and a member and Deacon of the First Christian Church. She belonged to the Franklin Hospital Auxiliary.

Survivors include one son, Brad (Cindi) Weathers of Nashville, Illinois and one daughter, Jill (Steve) Skibo of Benton, and five grandchildren, Ryan (Emily) Skibo, Chris Skibo, Lindsay Weathers, Patrick Weathers and Holly Weathers; two sisters, Kay Thomas of Murphysboro and Jody Donosky of Newburgh, Indiana.

Mrs. Weathers was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a great granddaughter, Sienna Faith Skibo.

Funeral services were held on October 19 at the First Christian Church in Benton, with burial in the Masonic & Oddfellows Cemetery in Benton. Morton and Johnston Funeral Home in Benton handled the arrangements.
