William Taylor, 79

Beckemeyer resident William "Bill" Taylor died at Clay County Hospital in Flora on Saturday, Dec. 26th, 1998. He was 79 year old.

Mr. Taylor was born in Fillmore on Aug. 26th, 1919, a son of Raymond and Alice Hannenberger Taylor. He married Mildred L. Frey in St. Charles, Mo., on Nov. 6th, 1938. She died Jan. 30th, 1992.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan Huffman of Flora and Jo Ann Hostmeyer of Breese; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and one brother, Delmar Taylor of Hubertus, Wis.

Mr. Taylor was retired from Alton Box Board.

A member of the United Methodist Church in Beckemeyer, his funeral was held there at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29th, with Rev. Sheron Murray officiating. Burial was in Carlyle cemetery.

The Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle was in charge of arrangements.
