Dorothy L. Kalmer, 78

Dorothy L. Kalmer, 78, of Damiansville died Saturday, Jan. 31st, 2004, at her residence.

She was born on August 18th, 1925, in Aviston, the daughter of Henry T. and Theresia Wilke Rakers, and they preceded her in death. On May 20th, 1947, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston, she married Robert Kalmer, and he survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Garry, Michael and Kevin Kalmer, all of Damiansville; five daughters, Marilyn Beckmann of Highland, Linda Athmer of Aviston, Beverly Gebke and Karen Seelhoefer, both of Bartelso, and Mary Kay Langenhorst of Germantown; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alvina Feldmann of Aviston and Rita Fuehne of Damiansville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Kalmer; a granddaughter; two brothers, Edward and John Rakers, and a sister, Henrietta Mondt-Septeowski.

Mrs. Kalmer, along with her husband, co-owned Kalmer Lumber and Pallet in Damiansville, where she also served as the secretary. She was a member of St. Damian Church and Altar Sodality.

A funeral mass was conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 3rd, at 11 a.m. at St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville, with Fr. Donald Eichenseer officiating.

Interment was in St. Damian Cemetery.

Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Germantown.
