Edward J. Schulte, 91

Ninety-one-year-old Edward J. "Butch" Schulte of Trenton died Thursday, June 19th, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese.

Mr. Schulte was born August 26th, 1911, in Aviston, the son of Frank and Mary Kues Schulte, both of whom preceded him in death.

On May 25th, 1937, at St. Francis Church in Aviston, he married Mary B. Dall and she preceded him in death Feb. 11th, 1952. He then married Dorothy Bean Feb. 28th, 1953, in E. St. Louis, and she preceded him in death May 11th, 2003.

He is survived by three sons, Edward "Sonny" Schulte of San Jose, Calif., Herbert Schulte of Trenton, and Thomas Schulte of Brenhamm, Texas; two daughters, Mary Jane Weilmuenster of Riverdale, Md., and Phyllis Heiderscheit of Raleigh Durham, N.C.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his first and second wife, Mr. Schulte was also preceded in death by a son, David Schulte; one grandson; five brothers, George, Henry, Otto, Alphonse, and William Schulte; and a sister, Hilda Schulte.

Mr. Schulte was a retired salesman from Sears Roebuck and Co. and was a member of Trenton Sportsmen Club and the Clinton County Democrats.

He also was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Trenton, where his funeral Mass was held on Mon., June 23rd, at 10 a.m., with Fr. James Dougherty officiating. Interment followed in St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston.

Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
