Irene M. Tebbe, 80

Irene M. Tebbe, 80, of Breese, died Wednesday, Sept. 17th, 2003, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

She was born on December 28th, 1922, in Germantown, the daughter of John and Mary Ann Schlautmann Sprehe, and they preceded her in death. On April 16th, 1941, at St. Boniface Church in Germantown, she married Emil Tebbe, and he preceded her in death on May 5th, 1957.

Surviving are six daughters, Rita Diekmann, Kathleen Beer and Julia Tebbe, all of Breese, Marilyn Brueggemann and Arlene Holtgrave, both of St. Rose, and Martha Ribbing of Aviston; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Sprehe of Germantown; and two sisters, Josephine Singler of New Baden and Alice Woltering of Aviston.

Preceding her in death was a son, Ronald Tebbe; two daughters, Theresa Schrage and Paulette Tebbe, and two grandsons.

Mrs. Tebbe was retired from the dietary department of St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese and a retired cook , from Wil-Char Restaurant in Breese. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese, Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary and a Gold Star Mother.

Funeral Mass was conducted on Friday, Sept. 19th, at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Breese, with Fr. Chuck Tuttle officiating.

Interment was in St. Dominic-St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese.

Visitation was at Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
