Henry "Red" Nolte, 92
Henry "Red" Nolte, 92, of rural Carlyle died Sunday, Nov. 30th, 2003, at his residence.
He was born on April 6th, 1911, near Posey, the son of August and Elizabeth Daum Nolte, Sr. He married Helen Yardley in Ferrin on August 23rd, 1943, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Ruth Holland of Carbondale and Debra Albers of Huey; seven sons, James and Robert Nolte, both of luka, Earl Nolte of Odin, George Nolte of Sandoval and Jerry, David and Bradley Nolte, all of Boulder; 29 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Timmy Nolte; three sisters, Edna Bennett, Clara Speiser and Anna Yardley; and two brothers, August Nolte, Jr., and Bill Nolte.
Mr. Nolte was a retired farmer and a member of the Clinton County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed spending time with his large family and loved the outdoors, hunting, trapping and fishing.
He was also a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ferrin, where his funeral services were conducted today, Wed., December 3rd, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Perry Schefelker officiating.
Interment followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Ferrin.
Visitation was at Zieren Day Funeral Home in Carlyle.
