Vincent C. Luebbers, 84

Vincent 'Vince' C. Luebbers of Beckemeyer died Saturday, March 8th, 2003, at Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle at the age of 84.

Mr. Luebbers was born on Nov. 3rd, 1918, in Carlyle, the son of Menard J. and Ida A. Harpstreit Luebbers. On Feb. 16th, 1999, in Marydale, he married Mae Jannett, and she survives in Beckemeyer.

Also surviving are a son, Vincent W. Luebbers of Carlyle; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; four brothers, Theodore Luebbers, Paul Luebbers, and Anthony Luebbers, all of Carlyle, Alfred Luebbers of Peoria, and Irwin ' Lou' Luebbers of Breese; and four sisters, Dorothy Diffenauer and Virginia Bryk, both of Carlyle; Ida Mae Guthrie of Centralia, and Marie Mitchell of Sparta.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eugenia Meyer and Loretta Diffenauer; and four brothers, Menard, Earl. Adrian and Arthur Luebbers.

Mr. Luebbers was a dry wall contractor for Luebbers Drywall. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council --1382, Carlyle, Painters Union, Breese, and the Senior Citizens.

He also was a member of St. Mary's Church in Carlyle, where his funeral was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11th. 2003, with Fr. George Mauck officiating.

Visitation was Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle.

Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery in Carlyle.
