Sixty-six-year-old Vincent F. Richter of Breese died Monday, Dec. 19, at his home.
A son of Bernard and Ann Zurliene Richter, he was born in Breese on Dec. 16, 1922. He married Pearl Hempen in Marydale on Sept. 3, 1951, and she survives.
Other survivors include one son, Dan Richter of Breese; one daughter, Ms. Marilyn Richter of Smyrna, Ga.; one grandson; one brother, Rudy Richter of Breese; and one sister, Mrs. Loretta Ahner of Panama City, Fla.
Mr. Richter was a retired plumber and had worked at Scott Air Force Base until his retirement. He was a former scoutmaster of the Boy Scouts of America, was a member and past commander of Breese American Legion and member of the Breese Knights of Columbus.
He also was a member of St. Augustine's Church in Breese where his funeral was held at 11:00 a.m. today (Wednesday). Rev. Richard Mohr officiated with burial in St. Dominic's cemetery in Breese.
Visitation was at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese.
