The funeral of life-long Breese resident Anton "Tony" Richter, 76, of rural Breese was held on Monday, Aug. 5th, at 10:00 a.m. rev. Richard Mohr officiated at the services at St. Augustine's Church in Breese with burial in St. Dominic's church cemetery.

Mr. Richter died Saturday, Aug. 3rd, at Breese Nursing Home.

A son of William and Cecelia Alberternst Richter, he was born in Breese. He married Martha Eversgerd in Germantown in 1940 and she survives.

Other survivors include one brother, Robert Richter of Breese; and two sisters, Mrs. Wilhelmina Eversgerd of Aviston and Ms. Leona Richter of Breese.

A retired farmer, Mr. Richter was a member of the Catholic Knights and Ladies of Illinois, the Clinton County Farm Bureau and the Holy Name Sodality of St. Augustine's Church.

The Moss Funeral Home of Breese was in charge of arrangements.
