Trenton resident Richard H. Kampwerth died at his home after a sudden illness Tuesday, Oct. 22. He was 62 years old.
Born in Bartelso on March 19, 1929, he was a son of Henry and Rose Rohr Kampwerth.
Survivors include five brothers, Henry Kampwerth of St. Rose, Marcel Kampwerth of Trenton, David and Andrew Kampwerth of Bartelso and Simon Kampwerth of Carlyle.
Mr. Kampwerth was employed at Four Flags Oldsmobile in Edwardsville. He was a member of the Trenton VFW and Machinists and Aerospace Local 313 in Granite City.
Rev. Robert Flannery will officiate at services on Friday, Oct. 25, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Trenton. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24. Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. and VFW will conduct services at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
