ARNOLD W. RICHTER DIED HERE THURS.

Mr. Arnold W. Richter, passed away quite unexpectedly last Thursday afternoon at the St. Clair Supply Company tanks in Breese, near the hour of 1:30 p.m. Mr. Richter had been working there for about 2 years. He was stricken with a heart attack.

Mr. Richter was born in Breese, Illinois, March 23, 1912, a son of Ben and Elizabeth Richter (nee Benhoff), thus having attained the age of 34 years, 6 months and 22 days, at the time of his death.

Deceased spent his entire life in Breese and Aviston. Two years ago he was employed by the Clinton County Farm Bureau to drive a gas truck in the place of William Skaer, who resigned his job. He had been working there ever since.

He was never married and was one of a family of eleven children. His mother and father preceded him in death, his mother having died November 14, 1924 and his father passed away March 7, 1926.

He leave four brothers and three sister, namely: Leo Richter, Aviston; Joseph Richter, Breese; Al Richter, St. Louis; Walter Richter, Breese; Mrs. Rose Netemeyer, Albers; Mrs. Theresa Kuhn Breese; Vera Richter, Aviston; Kate Richter a sister died in 1918 and did a pair of twins in infancy.

Mr. Richter had been making his home with his sister, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kuhn in this city for the past several years. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Dominic parish. He was also a member of the Breese council 2869 Knights of Columbus.

Funeral services were held Monday morning, October 7, at 9:00 a.m. from St. Dominic church, Breese, with Rev. H.H. Aydt, pastor, officiating. Interment took place in St. Dominic Cemetery, Breese.
