HERM. B. RICHTER PASSES AWAY HERE MONDAY

Herman B. Richter, a prominent farmer of this community, residing 3 1/2 miles northwest of Breese, passed away at 6:15 o'clock Monday morning, April 7, in St. Joseph's Hospital in this city. He has been in failing health for the past 6 months and bedfast the past week. He was removed to the local hospital last Friday afternoon, April 4th.

Deceased was born in Breese, Illinois, November 21, 1875, thus having reached the age of 71 years, 4 months and 16 days at the time of his death. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Richter.

He was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Brinkman on February 6, 1907, in St. Dominic Catholic Church, by the late Rev. August Reinecke. Five Children were born to this union namely: Frieda, having died in infancy; Mrs. August Voss and Mrs. Mary Timmermann, of Breese; Mrs. Ben Trame of St. Rose; and Miss Gertrude Richter, at home.

Immediately following their marriage, they moved on the farm where they lived their entire married life. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and was a member of St. Joseph's Married Men's Sodality.

His wife preceded him in death September 17, 1946 and besides the above children he is survived by 13 grandchildren and three brothers, Henry, William and John Richter, all of Breese.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 9:00 o'clock in St. Dominic Catholic, Rev. H. H. Aydt, Pastor, officiating. Interment was in St. Dominic Cemetery Breese, Ill.
