MRS. ANNA M. RICHTER AGED 89 PASSED AWAY

Mrs. Anna M. Richter, wife of the late B. W. Richter, of Breese, Ill., passed away peacefully at the St. Mary's Home in Carlyle, Ill., Wednesday morning, June 9, 1948, at 3:20 a.m. Central Standard Time. Mrs. Richter reached the age of 89 years 8 months and 3 days. Death was due to infirmities of old age. She had been making her home at the above institution for the past two years.

Deceased was born in St. Louis, Mo., October 6, 1858, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Casper Benhoff. At the age of 5 years, she with her parents settled on a farm near St. Rose, Ill. There she attended school and grew into young womanhood.

She was united in marriage to Mr. B. W. Richter in St. Rose's Church, St. Rose, Ill., November 19, 1879, by the late Rev. Kamann. They settled on a farm now owned by her son Kasper Richter southwest of Breese.

To this union three children were born namely two sons and one daughter, Bernard Richter, of southwest of Breese; Kasper Richter, of southwest of Breese; and Mrs. Anna Husmann, of Germantown, Ill. Besides the above named children, she leaves to mourn one sister, Mrs. B. J. Schwarz, of Breese; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. John Benhoff, of Quincy, Ill.; twenty-eight grandchildren and nineteen great- grandchildren.

Mrs. Richter was a devout catholic, attended services regularly until her health began to fail her. She was member of St. Augustine's parish, and a member of the Married Ladies Sodality of that parish.

The body will lay in state at the Bruegge Funeral Home, Breese, Ill., until time for services Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in St. Augustine's church, Breese, Ill., with Rev. Aloys Eckert, the pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St. Dominic Cemetery, Breese, Ill.
