Mr. Richter had been active in church, civic and farming circles. He belonged to the Holy Name Society and to St. Augustine Church.

On their 60th wedding anniversary, last October 12th, a special mass was read in their honor at St. Augustine's Church. Friends and relatives were invited to call at their home, at 800 South First Street, that day.
