Wayne H. Beckemeyer of Carlyle died Jan. 17th, 1996, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. He was 61 years old.

A son of Fred W. and Amanda Steffen Beckemeyer, he was born in Wheatfield Township on Nov. 9th, 1934. On May 4th, 1963, in Carlyle, he married to Jo Agnes Kampwerth and she survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Curt Beckemeyer of Savoy and Jeffrey Beckemeyer of Forsyth; two grandsons; one sister, Mrs. Loretta Dorries of Carlyle and three brothers, Herbert Beckemeyer of Tolono and Alvin Beckemeyer and Robert Beckemeyer of Carlyle.

Mr. Beckemeyer was a machinist at McDonnell Douglas Corporation 837 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He was a former member of the Carlyle Unit One Board of Education.

Rev. George Mauck officiated at services held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20th, at St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle was in charge of arrangements.
