This transcription was originally posted in 2000. The photos were added and the format updated to appear similar to the original publication in 2008. This transcription and its presentation is copywrited© by Laura Cordingley and the Clinton County ILGenWeb Project.
It is evident a number of writers contributed to the original publication. The reader will notice vast differences in writing styles and usage of grammar and punctuation. In order to preserve the styles of the original writers, the transcription has been produced as originally published, with only minor spelling errors corrected. Consistent spelling errors (such as the use of "employe" for "employee") have been left as is, as that was obviously the accepted spelling for the word at that time. No corrections were made to punctuation or grammar.
Note: 22 Dec 2020 According to family (Lynn W) there is an error on page 49 which describes Dr. Meirink as having 3 children. He actually had four. The youngest is Arthur August Meirink who was born August 28, 1916.
