Bridge # 1 - The Old Swinging Bridge north of BreeseThe Swinging Bridge served as a roadway across Shoal Creek about one mile north of Route 50. The entire bridge was built by farmers who owned property near the bridge. The bridge was damaged and almost removed in 1946, but it was repaired. That lasted for about ten years until it was destroyed beyond repair and never used again. Nothing remains of the bridge today.Apr 19, 2009
