Endres, Unknown femaleTrying to identify this person. My husbands grandmother says it is her Great Aunt Johanna Endres. I am not sure of this so hoping someone might recognize this photo. The reason I am unsure is I have a picture to scan that is of Johanna on her 1st communion and I do not see a resemblance. Johanne died at 19 years of age. Louise Hestin Westerman in the white dress, black hat, then William Westerman. Do not know who the other couple is. The young child on the rock could be Willie, son of Louise and William, b 1907, d 1921. Other young boy not known. This was one of those post card pictures, grandma's handwriting is on the back and it is to her brother Benjamin.Oct 31, 2011
wendelin-sm.jpg
Hestin WendelinThis is Wendelin and I (Julie Spencer) presume some of his grandchildren. I think this might be in New Baden. In the 1910 census he was living with my grandparents in Kansas City, MO. In the 1920 census he was with his daughter Minnie Hestin Georger and her family. After that he was back in Kansas City as that is where he died. None of these children are my mom's siblings, so that is why I think this was taken in New Baden. My mom and her twin brother were born in 1918 and when they were several years old my grandmother Louise Hestin Westerman took them to New Baden to meet Wendelin. I do not think this is my mom and her twin on Wendelin's lap as they do not look the same age and mom and her twin would have been at least 2 when they were in New Baden.Oct 31, 2011

hestin.jpg
Louise Hestin Westerman back row, then Martin Hestin, then Wendelin. In front of Louise is her husband William. I (Julie Spencer) do not know who the other people are. I believe this was taken at the same time the picture of Wendelin with his grandchildren was taken. The young boy, he is in the picture with Wendelin and grandchildren, and you can see part of a young girl in front of William Westerman. She is also in the picture of Wendelin with grandchildren. The picket fence is the same also. Possibilities: If this is in New Baden, possibly the unknown woman is Minnie Hestin Georger, or possible Frieda Jokisch Hestin/Hasting. The picture had been torn in half and was in terrible shape. I had it restored.Oct 31, 2011

Westerman, William and Hestin, LouiseWedding photo of Louise Hestin and William Westerman. They married in 1906 in New Baden and by 1907 were in Kansas City, MO. William was born in Boonville, MO and went to Kansas City in 1901 with his widowed mother. I know my (Julie Spencer's) grandmother made her dress, and possibly the dresses of the other women.Oct 31, 2011
