Sarah Catherine (also known as Kate) (nee Carrigan) Huey, born Feb. 19, 1832, died Dec. 12, 1906 - 74 years, daughter of John Sample Carrigan and Linnea B. (Duncan) Carrigan.

William Riley Huey, born 1833, died 1876. They were married July 30, 1858. Three children were born to them.

  1. William Sylvester Huey, born May 22, 1860, died 1931, married to Emma B. Heidhorn June 6, 1893. Both were from Huey, IL
    Children: Esther, Wesley and Olive
  2. John Sample Huey, born Jan. 13, 1866, died Jan. 12, 1948, near Carlyle, IL, buried in Carlyle Cemetery. He married Carrie Cleo (known as Callie) Carrigan in Sept., 1900 in St. Louis, MO.
    Carrie was born Feb. 14, 1880, died June 2, 1964, buried in Carlyle Cemetery.
    Children: Joseph W. Huey, born Jan 10, 1912, died Sept. 9, 1912, buried in Carlyle Cemetery and Gertrude Cleo Huey, born Oct. 5, 1913, died Aug. 1, 2003, two miles east of Carlyle, IL, in the home built by her father in 1900, where she was born and lived all her life. She is buried next to her family in Carlyle Cemetery. Gertrude never married. She taught school for 40 years.
  3. Joseph Huey, born July 19, 1869, (unable to find any more info on Joseph)
